“Tower Topics,” a podcast hosted about Kings Island amusement park and by Don Helbig and Ryan Suhr, invited Dayton Daily News writer Alex Cutler on the show to speak about the park’s legacy and future.

Helbig and Suhr are both well-known figures in the Kings Island fans community, with latter being a former media director for the site Kings Island Central.

Helbig has a decades-long history with the park. In the ’80s he became known for riding The Racer wooden coaster numerous times, reaching his 10,000th ride in 1990.

Helbig joined Kings Island’s team in 2007, where he worked in area management and digital marking. He left this position in 2023 and now writes the theme park blog "Theme Parks by Don."
